I'm new to the site and just want to start off with a pic of my homemade sling...i work with leather as a hobby

Nice job! I'm not a fan of slings attached to the barrel, but it should work fine.

Now just replace the stock with something similar in color and it'd be perfect. The sling looks awesome!!
