I recently purchased a 10/22TD and I want to get the barrel chopped/threaded but I want iron sights that will be useful over a suppressor. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I'm heading towards the same purchase. Wil you be chopping the orignal barrel? Have you researched what length is best for accuracy?

Take a look at our NDS-26 and NDS-40.

I'm currently out of stock on the -26, but we will be doing another batch very soon.

^ I'll be going this route if/when Que get's back to work but...

Tech sights are another viable option.

I am sure you considered this but will "chopping" the barrel put it in the SBR category?

The NDS front sight (and the Tech-Sights as well) require the use of the existing factory FS base, correct? Maybe I don't understand what the OP is intending to do but it sounds like he will lose the front sight base when he has the barrel threaded

As long as he doesn't chop off more than 2.49" he's good to go.

Many smiths can and will move the front sight back. Que even fills in the rear dove tail if need be.

If the fsb is removed you can use our NDS-44 instead. Turn a step on the barrel to .614".
