I would like to get a nice target .22 and have it threaded for a can. Looking at the CMP.
They have a Savage Mark II-FVT, 5 rounds, detachable magazine, 6 lbs weight. for $245 And a Savage Mark II-FVT, 5 rounds, detachable magazine, 6 lbs weight. for $445 Are these good to go? Or are there better choices?? |

So I am classified as Cracker Rich or ARFcom Rich..

Which gun is more acute out of the box? They are both very accurate out of the box. The CZ has a much higher level of QC than the Savage, so I would not expect a dud with CZ. Sometimes savage can release a turd. This is especially true in terms of action/stock mating or inletting, cutting and mounting of attachment points for optics, and the crown. Simply put, the CZ is a finer grade of rifle. The Savage has the accu-trigger, It is neat, but don't let this fool you into thinking it is a "better" trigger just because you can tune it down to a few ounces. The CZ's stock trigger is very good, but needs just a little fine tuning to be made perfect. Some of the higher end CZ's have single-set triggers from the factory, and are pretty much impossible to improve upon. |
