Hello, After a few ak's and vepr, the .22LR is coughing my eye. I don't know anything about .22LR rifles But I know If I get one It would be a Bull Pup style .22LR Rifle. Any directions, brand, names, etc would be very informative for me and I would appreciate any input really. Thank you! |

Thank you! i just finished a .22LR Tavor TAR21 using a Marlin 60 http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8330/8128495210_d358f5353d_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8055/8126641870_77e0f65ff2_b.jpg Here's the rest of the .22LR bullpup conversions I'm working on using Marlin 60's OMG that is what I want!!! The Tavor TAR21 looks sick. I bet the FN 2000 would be nice as well as the P90 style. Can you tell me more please! how hard is to do this conversion? Where do you find the .22lr rifles and the Bullpup body? |

Where do you find the .22lr rifles and the Bullpup body? yes ill be doing the FN2000 and P90 with the Marlin 60 in a few weeks. currently working on the L85 conversion trigger linkage on the Marlin 60. theyre just gutted airsoft bodies where you can drop in the .22LR action/barrel inside. its nothing more than just a dress up kit. dremeling out the plastic or metal is the easiest part. just cut anything out that's blocking the .22 from dropping in. i go to gunbroker.com to find used guns. i like the Marlin 60's because you can find them for $70 + shipping and the width of the receiver is only 1 inch compared to the Ruger 10/22 is 1.25 inches wide. the Marlin 60 will fit in majority of airsoft stocks so you get more choices compared to the larger and more expensive Ruger 10/22. this TAR21 conversion was a 9 out of 10 difficulty mainly due to the creation of the trigger linkage. the trigger linkage took me 6-7 hours to figure out and hook up because the TAR21 body doesnt split in half which makes it harder to measure and manipulate the 1/8 steel rod bullpups are the hardest to do. non bull pups are easier however the Marlin rifles have a high trigger guard, while the Ruger 10/22 has a lower trigger guard. so if the Marlin trigger guard sits up too high, you must be willing to cut the trigger guard and fabricate an extended trigger shoe going downward. this is something that ive learned how to do after doing 30 different airsoft bodies for a .22 a lot of these bodies are used and broken internally. they can be bought for under $100 a piece off craigslist or airsoft sites (boneyard sections). |
