Just picked up a Savage FVSR and it's time for some glass..

I'd like to spend ~$200..

Have been thinking Mueller APT, but haven't decided.

Any suggestions?

Spend 50 more and get a Millet,
or for 200 get a vortex crossfire.  some have issues from the factory but vortex has a no questions asked lifetime warranty.

I picked up the Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP with butlers for $250 for my CZ 452.

Seems to do very well.

Nikon has a $30 rebate going. How about a prostaff rimfire? You should be able to find one for around $139-149. With the rebate, you could have a decent scope for around $110...

+1 on the above. Just got together a Marlin XT-22VR. Never noticed how much difference the parallax made till I had my rifle in a rest and started moving my head around. Even at fifty yards if your head is not in the exact same position every time it can mean a difference of a couple inches.
