| I have a Springfield model 187 22 auto which is tube feed, that is not letting the trigger reset after I fire it. It does load another round but does not cycle the trigger. I can pull the bolt back with my hand and it will reset the trigger like it should, just not when I fire it. What could it be?? |

The only two in a row thing is odd. Very hard to figure out like this for me. If I had it here I would remove it from the stock and cycle it my hand and watch what goes on looking for something not working correctly. I would also look for anything that looks bent in the trigger parts, make sure all the springs at least look like they belong in the gun and haven't been replaced at some point with the wrong one. Tough one, usually they work or they don't, yours only two at a time. Another thing I would do is visit the Savage forum on RimfireCentral, lots of info there about these guns and a few guys that might know exactly what's wrong with yours. This might help you a little. Here's a link to the pic below, the forum software here reduced it in size. http://4-riders.com/pics/Savage/ipb-springfield-187a.jpg ![]() |
