Looking at this scope for 10/22 plinking rifle.  Anything I should know about it (aside from BSA, and such.)  Is it garbage?  Will it get the job done?  Any advise is appreciated.  Thanks

jmho but I think the best buy for a low cost 22 scope is the simmons 22mag series. I got one after lots of positive comments about them and the scope is really more than I expected. Picked mine up on sale at cabelas for under $50 and it holds zero well and is plenty clear for daytime use. I'd recommend you at least check out the simmons before you buy a bsa.

I've got 2 BSA scopes, one a fixed 36x that's no longer made. I think they're decent for the low cost, IMO. Both of mine hold zero nicely as well.

I decided to go the Simmons route.  The reviews, as every review will be, were mixed; but overall they were positive.  I've had good luck with Simmons in the past, for what it is.  So, I'll give this a try.  39 bucks isn't too much to cry over if it dies a year or two later.  hell, I can't hold on to most of my guns for a year anyways.

I think you will like it. I liked mine so much that I bought a second one for my old 10/22 and they are both working well.
