So a couple of weeks ago I asked about changing the barrel on a 452.  This is the result of that question.

I was intending on putting a Nikon 3-9x40 EFR w/medium rings that I ordered, but have read a comment recently that it may not work.  It will be the first scoped rifle I've owned so I hope I picked a decent scope.

Good choice in scopes, great choice in rifles.

Depending on what make of med. rings you are getting as to whether or not it will work. (as far as height)  I have found the Millett or Warne rings to be great performers on CZs, which can be a bit troublesome finding rings that fit correctly on the dovetails.

If you order a DIP Products dovetail-to-picatinny adapter, med rings will definitely work.

Good to hear about Millett because that is what I got.  These specifically.

Thing about CZ rimfires are that they usually have 11mm dovetail rails, not 3/8" rails.  Unless they changed things with the new 455, the only rimfires that CZ used 3/8" scope rings were the "American" series.  Looks like you have a 455 Varmint, which may have the 11mm rail.

Am I missing something on that page?  I don't see where it says 3/8" or 11mm on way or the other.  As you noted, only the 452 American used the 3/8" dove tail, all others if stated at all were 11mm.  So I'm hoping by the European description they will fit the 11mm dove tail on the 455 Varmint.

I'm hoping for the best, but this is all new for me so I may end up with rings and a scope I can't use and someone may get a deal on the EE.

Thanks.  Once everything comes in I'll post more pics.  Can't wait to get it to the range.

No, mine didn't come with rings.  That's disappointing.  But good news that your Nikon works.  Gives me hope that I won't have to shop for a new scope.
