Have a tactical innovations 10/22 with bull barrel. Have tried many different kinds of ammo. Compared to my Ruger Tactical 10/22 they dont even shoot close to the same. Im thinking the issue may be the 4 pound trigger with tons of creap. Would installing a KIDD single stage trigger set at 1.5 pounds possibly tighten up my groups? FYI im grouping the Tac In 10/22 at about the size of a quarter with a 5 shot group ( 9x scope) using CCI Velocitors at 25 yards and groupings not even worth measuring at 50 and 100 yards. Groupings with the Ruger Tac 10/22 is about a Dime at 25 yards (4x scope). Thanks for any help

The Kidd trigger group should improve your grouping.  HOWEVER, If you really like to reduce your groups, I would look into getting another barrel.

Do you happen to know the manufacture for your Tac Innov barrel?

Take a look at Kidd Barrel and Lilja barrels.

Get a real barrel, and real ammo.

I just got the Kidd trigger upgrade kit ($105 - not the whole sheebang) in today's mail. Looking forward up trying it out but it'll be Sunday at the earliest, maybe even Monday or Tuesday.

Have you tried CCI Blazer? Believe it or not it shoots the best in my Savage Mk ll and custom 10/22. I can get 5 shots into one tiny hole at 25 yds with either gun and the other day I did it once with the 10/22, but was 9 rds with a flyer just outside. Hence the trigger upgrade. Current trigger is pretty light but rather vague and mushy. Need a better scope too. This is going to get expensive.

Try Blazer if you haven't. I've been getting good results at 50 yds too. Or I should say promising results as I haven't done nearly as much shooting at that range yet. Blazer may not hold up to the longer ranges as the expensive stuff but for me it's looking like a great, cheap practice round.
