Are these bad for a barrel. I just bought a new YHM match bull bbl for my 10/22 as well as a new Savage MK II TRR-SR. I think it'd be pretty fun to run some tracers but not if it's going to hurt/damage/wear my barrels.

Anybody?

Also, if they are good to go, where's a good source? If I shouldn't be running them through these bbls please let me know.

Thanks,

Bravo

Personally I wouldn't run tracers through my barrel.  I would also be very concerned about starting fires down range which I have seen several times.

I've run a couple boxes through my rifle with no problem.  I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.  The biggest issue with tracers "burning out your barrel" isn't the tracing compound, it was that military tracer rounds were loaded with a hotter burning powder (to ensure trace ignition).  Hotter powder burns out throats faster.  In  a .22lr or pistol caliber that's not such a huge deal.
