So I bought a Marlin from walmart about a year ago because I really wanted a .22 mag rifle. Now a year later the gun won't shoot. I was out with my family yesterday and I got about 5 shots off out of 20 and then nothing. i tried twenty more times and nothing( i thought it was crappy ammo). after inspecting the unfired shells the firing pin was striking softer and softer each time until there was no impact at all. probably just gonna send it in to marlin tomorow. Anybody had this happen to them? how is marlin's customer service? anything i can check myself at home?

Thanks,
luke duke

ok. i know what is wrong now. just not how to fix it. the bolt cocks back the firing pin when i bring it back to the open position how it is supposed to but when i close the bolt the "plunger" drops as if i pulled the trigger. so i guess it is a trigger assembly problem? will post a few pics in a few.
thanks for any help.
