I was curious if anyone knew what the "CORRECT" way to thread a 10/22 barrel is so its 100% concentric? I thread my own barrels on my lathe(I use 3 jaw, live center, and single point insert threading tool... i chuck the outside of the chamber(section that inserts into the receiver) and put the muzzle in the live center. I was wondering if there is a certain way to do it ( 3 jaw self centering or 4 jaw independent chuck, live or dead center, Etc.) Also if the barrel is gonna be cut down is it better to chuck it ,turn it down and thread it before cutting it off or to cut it,face it and thread and re-crown? In the past iv chucked the barrel before cutting and turned a big relief ( just ahead of where its gonna be cut off) ahead of the soon to be threads, threaded it, chopped it off and re-crowned to make sure it is 100% concentric. Any tips???   Thanks
