Well haven’t been happy with my cheek weld, not being able to get comfortable aligning my eye with the scope. The gun is a 10/22T

So decided to go Old School with a Leather Cheek Piece. Been play with this for a while and now have got it right.

Started with this;

However wasn’t able to get it high enough, so took a leather AK47 leather strap and cut some strips. Inserted 5 strips and put back together but didn’t fit right.

Removed 3 strip and it went together good and the high was correct.

Leather wasn’t the color I wanted and looked rough so got some brown shoe polish. Also picked up new leather laces because I broke the original and wanted the color to match better.

OK so after lacing it up don’t want it sliding around, had this on another gun and it moved around. In all fairness the “other gun” was a .50 bmg. I put the screws in it on the .50 and it didn’t move any more.

Picked up some nice looking brass ones from Ace. Liked the width but the length was two long so did a little modification. By the way you better be **** sure this is where you want it and be commited before drilling holes. :eek:

I would recommend shooting a few thousand rds. before committing.

OK the work is complete lets lookie at the finished results.
