How difficult is it to trick one of these out? I have seen a lot of cool ass ones here. I would like one. Where can I find a cheap one to start on? Is there any difference other than the cool factor than a regular 22 rifle? Where can I find inexpensive parts and accessories?

There are more parts for a 10/22 than a chevy.

You buy one of these for $140

You turn it into this for about $350 more the top one with the thumb hole stock.

Vols hammer and sear, Vols edge extractor, home polished bolt, (see rimfirecentral above) stock from the EE, barrel from EE. Shoots under 1/2 inch at 50 yards without having a great operator behind it.

CAREFUL 10/22's are worse than AR's in becoming a habit! I have 7............all tricked out except the one I just got.

Only to .001% of the level that a 10/22 can.

Or you can pump a lot more $$$$  into one and come out with something like one of these.
