I took my trigger group apart yesterday and noticed that the extractor was pretty wedged in, tight to get out to clean.  Is that how it's supposed to be?  Could that be part of my FTE problem?

On the 10/22, the extractor just pivots a little.  You have to pull back the shaft that presses on the extractor, then tip and wiggle the extractor out, being careful to not send the shaft and spring across the room.  I highly recomend the VQ exact edge extractorfor everyone, not just people with FTE problems.

So it shouldn't be so tight to move?

It shouldn't be that tight.  I should pivot easily.  Spend the money and get a hardened one.  The VQ is only 10 or 15 bucks and worth every penny.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about.  I had to pry it out of the housing and then tap it in to get it in
