So I went to WallyWorld yesterday, to look at scopes for my new model 60. I had previously always used those little $12 ones (or whatever they cost these days, you know the one I mean) and I wanted to go a liiiitle better this time, but I know diddlysquat about rimfire scopes.

I took a liking to this one.

I can't believe what you get for $54 bucks ... damn Chinese! It even also included some decent rings (although NOT as good as the ones in the photo), flip caps, and a neoprene cover. The glass is amazingly good for such a cheap scope. I fully expect the illuminated reticle to break, but that's fine if it holds zero. I plan to go sight it in at an indoor place tomorrow night, then take it to the 'real' range Saturday.

Anybody got one of these things? Do they hold up?

Oh, and I need some lower rings. These are 1 1/8" and way too high. I could use 7/8" if they're available. Suggestions??

Thanks!

I had the 4-16x40 version on my AR for about a day.  I tried sighting it in and found out the knobs didn't move the crosshairs at all.  Took it back to Wally world and got a Nikon Prostaff for a few bucks more.

I bought one about 2 months ago and it still holds zero after 2000 rds, I would shoot more but my deployment prevented me.  The illuminated reticle is pretty much useless it is too bright for my taste.  I think the scope is a good value for $50 or so you can't beat it for a cheap rimfire scope.  Don't let the nay sayers push you way from trying it, worst case scenario you can take it back to WW if you don't like it.  If I had a lttle extra money I would get something different.  The only reason I bought it  was for my son's 10/22 and he really liked it no matter what I said.  Hope this helps.

I love mine. Works great. I put one through a bunny the other night. I could see him better through the scope than I could with the naked eye. The red light was great right at dusk. The 1 setting wasn't too bright. I can throw some very nice groups with it as well.

I have the Centerpoint scope I purchased from Wally world for $54 and I am impressed so far by it's optics. It's dead on from 50yards away.

I've had one of these (same as bcr308) on my 17 HMR shooting under a quarter at 100 yards (not center impact, but the entire hole) in 5 shot groups.  I don't know that I'd put one of these on a .308, but I love it on my 17 & 10/22.  Picked up some nice vertical rings and slapped em on.

I have one on a .308. Works just fine, needed to pick something up to mount on it since I didn't have an extra scope. The only complaint I have is the rings don't stay tight, but that is b/c I mistakenly tightened them down too much.

The adjustment knobs have locks too which are kinda a pain. But, it lets me but 5 rounds within a quarter sized hole with my Stevens 200.

Glass is not too bad either, (I have the 4-16x $70 one) but the flip up cap on the front would come off, I wrapped the end with a layer of electrical tape to make it tighter and it seems to work just fine.
