| I have done alot of research and am seeing that Clark is the most accurate after market berrel with the need to replsace the extractor to ensure proper extraction. What say you? |
| I don't know if they are the most accurate on the market as I have not compared them to anything but the factory barrel, but they are pretty darn accurate. I have used a Clark medium weight barrel on one rifle and I like it so much I have a 16" HB on order. I did not have to change out the extractor on the medium weight barrel. If you get one you will not be dissapointed. |

The extraction problem mainly relates to unfired rounds. This is common with many match chambers in 10/22s.
On chambering, the bullet is engraved by the rifling, so sometimes you can't extract a live or dud round. That's why Sportsman's Team Challenge competitors stick a pocketknife in the table before the rifle stages start. Some work better than others, sometimes an aftermarket extractor fixes it. My 7 10/22s all have stock extractors, though that's about all. I have 3 Clark barrels and one VQ Carbon. All are superb. The oldest, a 21 1/2" Clark/ Douglas has shot sub 1" @100yd. The Clark/Lothar Walthers and VQ/Walther all shoot cloverleafs @50yd. |
