What do you pros use for a bipod and how is it mounted? I'd like a durable but affordable one.

I can't claim to be a "pro" but I have a Harris bipod mounted on the front sling swivel stud of my 10/22. If you don't want to pay for a real Harris, the Outers/Shooters Ridge clones are OK.

I have a Harris clone and it works acceptably well. Only problem I've had is one of the nuts that hold the leg vibrated off, and it was a .10 part at Home Depot.

I have both in the "S" model and the Harris is slightly better in quality but the Shooters Ridge works well also....

I paid $70.00 at a local shop for one and now Walmart carries them for $42.00. Think it's a rock river and it works good.
Plus have been using it to sight in the muzzle loader and it withstands it just fine.
