[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 10/22 DNZ scope mount

I'm looking at adding a mueller apv 4.5-14x40mm to my 10/22. I would like a one piece mount so I am thinking of going the DNZ route. I am having trouble sizing the mount due to conflicting info.

The DNZ website says that the low mount will work for 40mm objectives. The info on Midway states that the low ring is good to 0.5".

Mueller APV
1" tube
2.07" objective

(2.07-1)/2 = 0.535"

Does anyone know if a low mount will work or do I need the medium mount? Thanks.

Should work just fine. I checked mine with Leupold Low QRW rings, 44mm AO and I have plenty of room.....

If I remember correctly mine is a Med 1" that I ordered from Natchez. This is a pic with a 40mm objective.

I have a standard barrel. The bull barrel with the 40mm objective looks tight. I guess I will try the low and see how it goes. Thanks guys.
