Hi all,
Recently acquired a new scope and stock for my 10/22. I guess all I have left is barrel and trigger group.

I see a lot of recommendations for Green Mountain barrels. But I'm having a hard time with length, finish, threading etc.

What I want is a new bull barrel that is accurate for match loads. I want to thread a suppressor (looking for suggestion on one too), and I want a finish that I can gunkote or duracoat also. If need be, I can go to a metal refinishing shop and have it sand/media blasted, but would prefer not to. Also need a new trigger group.

So... what should I look for?

Thanks!

You might want to to look at the "Quantum" barrel from Rimfire Technologies. They seam to have all
the features you are looking for, plus the reviews at Rimfire Central are VERY good.

What length?

Not sure on a length. Was hoping for help on that too.

That barrel is a bit pricey. Looks nice, and people really like it, but I liked the price of the green mountain better.

I would stay in the 16"-17" range. The other advantage with the R/T barrel is the light weight.

Unless you have someone that will thread it correctly for real cheap/cheap the cost is
not that much different. GM barrel plus $70-100 for threading and you still need a 920 thread protecter.

Was actually looking at this GM Barrel.

I just need to pick a suppressor to make sure the threading is right, haha.

ETA: I can't type.
