Where can I get a "Bullseye" & the white spacer between the stock & the butt plate from?

When I bought this rifle it had a Bullseye in it, but it was loose, & of course it fell out while in the timber. Gone forever.

As far as the spacer goes, there is one in there, but I think the edges of it had chipped off over the years. The one on my Dad's 39A Golden goes all the way to the edge & makes a smooth transition from the stock to the butt plate, mine does not. His also has a spacer & butt plate kinda deal on the pistol grip (for lack of a better way to describe it), which looks really nice, but would not be original on mine

OK, found the Bullseye, but cannot find the spacer.

Would Marlin have parts for such an old gun? Was there many changes made to the 39A over the years that would prevent a newer piece from fitting on my older rifle?

I seriously doubt it, but you can always ask them.

AFAIK, the stocks have changed back and forth between straight-grip and pistol-gripped styles several times over the years, but the dimensions at the buttplate are probably very nearly the same. You might also try a grind-to-fit spacer from www.brownells.com/.

NO need to buy a Marlin Bullseye. Just call Marlin's toll-free customer service number and tell them that your bullseye is missing, they will send you one out for free.

Cool! I'll ask them about the spacer while I'm on the phone with them too.

OK, I got a Bullseye by calling Marlin, & while on the phone with them I asked about the spacer. Was told it is a discontinued item.

Brownell's was a washout too.

Anywhere else that somebody can come up with?

I asked the same question over at RimfireCentral.com, & was given a link to a guy that has these. So I have one one the way now.

Yes, I came here from RFC after I read your post. Glad to see you have it all taken care of. Great deal on the Marlin. I just bought a 1957 a few weeks ago and it was missing the Bullseye.

Marlin will send you enough for two, unless the whole is deeper on yours. I replaced about 4 of them so far, they must just fall out. I just place the Bullseye in the whole and mark it a little long and then cut it with a fine tooth hobby saw. Then use a little glue and tap in it being careful not to go too deep. I then place masking tape around the bullseye to protect the wood and file it down to match the shape of the stock, pull off the tape. Done.

OlCrow,
Thanks for the info on how to install the Bullseye, that'd been my next question.

The hole for my Bullseye is maybe 1/4" deep. Sounds like I'll have room for error then.
