you might have an out of spec. reciever or scope base. If you had to use alot of windage left or right to get centered you will loose verticle adjustment also. most 1 inch tube scopes of high magnification don't have alot of adjustment anyways, maybe 35,40 total inches. You could try a canted base with 10-15 MOA built in. |
| I swapped and alos lowered down to a thinner base. The bell is barely touching the barrel whitch looks good. It's actuall better lower. I took my laser bore sighter and tried to set at about 25 feet and sure enough the same crap. Elevation UP turned up all the way and about 1/2 inch from being centered. |

Aceshye, You might be getting barrel droop, it sometimes happens with bull type barrels, you need to change out your V-block with one that is adjustable, and it will fix the problem, here is a source...www.rimfiretechnologies.com/SearchResults.asp |

As said before i could be barrel droop. It could also be that you are using subsonic ammo that is dropping alot at 100 yards. Something you might try is to cut a strip out of an aluminum can and place it in the lower portion the the rear ring and reinstall the scope. This should give you a little more elevation. Dolomite |
| I had the same problem with the Eraticator on a .223 trying to get to 500 meters and out of clicks at about 400 or a bit less.I took and moved the vernier (elevation) two full turns in reverse and then loosened both rings and put a shim of a single layer of 35mm fiilm under the rear of scope and centerd and squared the scope again and tightened rings and now got all the click I need |
