I am sure most of you have seen what Nordic Components is doing with the .22 cal. set up. Today I went to a shoot and Tim Ubl had a complete upper prototype on display that was awesome. 17 HMR complete upper. Should be out in the near future and looked VERY nice. I didn't get a chance to look it over closely because I was having so much fun shooting the .22 rifle he had brought with to demo. I think the gophers in my horse pasture may be seeing some high velocity lead poisoning in the near future. |
| I saw that too, and he let me look it over. The guts did not look anything like the Ciener insert, in fact, it looked more like a 10/22 as he was telling me and he mentioned it was a total redesign. Nordic will have 2 complete 17HMR uppers with magazines at the NRA show coming up. Tim also mentioned that they will probably release the upper in Fall of 2008 after extensive firing and field testing. He also said that they will have the same upper in .22 magnum as well. Seems like he brought it out to tease us, but damn, it looked good! It worked, I want one. |
