Thats a Steal of a price! I'm curious as well about the compensator. |
|
I have the compensator and I can't really say it does much of anything. The recoil feels the same as all my other .22s; that is to say, there is none. I'm about 99% sure all the recoil from a 10/22 is the bolt slapping back. On that note, those cheap recoil buffers you see really do work in quieting/softening that slap. Personally, I bought the "compensator" because I do wander around the woods with this thing an wanted to keep the crown safe. EDIT TO ADD: Sorry, forgot about the ammo question. If you are unfamiliar with wolf (yea, I said wolf) .22 match ammo, try it out. Really is quite accurate. When I zero in with wolf then switch back to bargain box I feel like I just threw my accuracy away. |

Thanks for the the info. Unfortunately we minnesotans cant have suppressors, otherwise I would spend the loot to get one. I have been wondering about the wolf. I do use it in my AR's and people think Im crazy. The shit works fine for plinking and I average only 1 dud per/1000 |
| I have a TacSol Barrel and it LOVES the Federal AutoMatch from the walmart bulk pack. This is the only place I have been able to find it and I think it might be their exclusive. This stuff has shot 5 shot, dime size groups at 50 yards. As good as some Eley match ammo i tried. The Federal is like $12.00 for 350. Try some if you can. |
