Never owned one, but if you got some $ to spend, I think Kimber's & Anshultz's are top o' the line.

I have a cheap Savage MkII-G that shoots really nice. It is not fancy or anything like that, but it is very accurate and will shoot any ammo you feed it. I think I paid $120 a few years ago, but that was pre-acutrigger.

We could give you better answers if you gave us a price range and what you intend to use the rifle for.

I'm really digging my Savage Mark II BTV.

Heavy bbl, laminated thumbhole stock and the Accutrigger.

Very sweet rifle with a great trigger and it can be had pretty cheap. Mine was $219.
