I have 2 I shoot in Bullseye matches 1 or 2 times a week. They have 10's of thousands of rounds through them and are very accurate with about any ammo. You can shoot high velocity ammo with no problems but I always use an uncut fairly new recoil spring just to be easy on the gun. CCI Standard Velocity is the best bet for consistency and accuracy in these guns and they seem to prefer a 40 grain bullet. The only thing I have ever broken in one of mine has been the oin in the slide and that gun has been shot an insane amount, probably over 100K. BTW Both of mine are A series guns, some say the early ones are the best but I have never really seen a bad one. |
| Its a great pistol. I got one used but in just about 100% condition about 10 yrs ago and it has everything in a 22 target pistol that I could have wanted: Great accuracy, solid target sights, Good looks/styling, comfortable grip/balance and easy takedown. I did shop around and the 41 competed with a Browning Buckmark and Ruger 22pistol for my hard earned dollars. I am glad I got the 41. |

Comparing the Model 41 to the Ruger or the Buckmark isn't a fair comparison. You could buy one of each of the latter two for the price of the Model 41. With that said, it is a fine pistol. I'd call it a "semi-match" pistol in that it is very accurate but not all funky looking like most match pistols. |
