Started lookin at pics of 10/22's and started thinking about customizing a nice precision rig outta one with the heavy barrel and all.  What's some prices I'd be looking at for tricked out 10/22s or starting from scratch and building my own?  What are some good wood laminated stocks and barrels to start looking at?  What's the best brand parts one can purchase to customize a 10/22?  This will be a 95% range plinker and a 5% prairie dog/rabbit plinker.  Any help ya'll can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Some time back I got all fired up and was about to start ordering the parts.
I ended up going the other way and getting the Ruger 10/22T (Target model). After shooting it for several years as is (swapping out several scopes) I finially bought a Jard trigger assembly (complete unit) that is super nice. Midway has a lot of available stuff and I favor them because I get a C&R discount from them, same deal at Midway

Hmm.. depending on what your wanting to do to it ive seen people with over 1500 in a pack rifle. A kid trigger is around 900 if your wanting a tack driver. And the various stocks range from 100-1000 depending on what your looking for... A 10/22 will be as expensive as you want it.

For Ex.---

Mine ran about 400-450 with everything i have on it
GM sporter bbl
choate pistol grip stock
50 round drum (Iffy)
25 round mag (X2)
10 round stock mag (X2)
And an elcheapo illuminated scope

I got the 10/22 for really cheap ( around 110 ) at a gun show... had a banged up stock and prewarning bbl i sold on ebay.
