Does the barrel on the 10/22T come free floated? If not, will it give me any more accuracy if I do free float it?

I ordered one today. I am going to do a Clark Custom trigger kit and a Swift 3-12X40mm AO on Leupold Rimfire Rings and the base that comes with the rifle. I'll probably put a Harris BRM 6-9 on it I have laying around.

I'll post some pics when its finished.

I don't think the barrel is free floated on the 10/22T. You may gain some accuracy by free floating it, but I would shoot it first and see what it does for you straight from the box. Chances are, you'll be satisfied with the stock rifle. I bought a Butler Creek Varmint Combo kit for my standard carbine. The barrel is not free floated, and it is the only upgrade I have made to it. It shoots really tight groups as is.
