I just got done with a lower budget 17 HMR mach2 conversion mach 2 ( .920 barrel ) on a 10/22 Ruger. ebco barrel , bolt handle, scope mounts , muller APV optics. and a Stock from Hornet products out of Florida. Most of the trigger work was done based on reccomendations I found at rimfirecentral in the tips and tricks section. look around there for ideas and suggestions. You can do a nice trigger job by yourself if your handy. I must say that after trying all the mods I made on the build I was very pleased on the results. The only thing left stock on a basic 10/22 is the reciever/ frame pins. Pretty much everything has been at least stripped, blasted and polished at the bare minium on the project. The commonest change I see there is a volquaretson hammer change for the trigger. I stoned my stock hammer and polished the remainder of the trigger group (also did the JB weld trgger group sear trick) . The results after spending some range time this weekend currently leave me with not wanting to change anything on the build. I'm a happy camper so far. |

Check out the kits at EA Brown & Co.. I have the factory contour kit and it is very reliable, super light-weight and accurate. Eric |
| For as little as $220 you can get a conversion kit from Boyds that will give you a stock, barrel, and bolt handle. |
