Has anyone used the evolution stock for 10/22's? Im in the process of building mine, and am now in the market for a stock. I want the one with the six pos on it. I was thinking of black, but are there any suggestions for colors? And is it a quality piece, or is it a pos? Thanks!

I'd like a little intel on this stock also.  I have a set of Tech Sights on my 10/22 and was wondering if they can be used in conjunction with the Evolution stock.  This would be a great trainer if it works out.  Please advise!

JackBurton,
How is that TechSight working out on the 10/22? Have you shot it much and do you have any pictures?

While I don't dislike either of the stocks mentioned, I looked at them the last time I through money at a 10/22 and decided to try the DPMS varmint weight AR-15 in .22lr.  It takes ALL the standard AR-15 accessories and is indistinguishable from a .223 gun without removing the magazine.  And the best part is that you can add a .223 upper to it as it is MIL-SPEC.  Just my opinion and preference.

I installed the Tech Sights last night and blew about 200 rounds through the rifle this afternoon.  My 10/22 has never shot better.  With one 50 round mag I blew the sillouette out of the middle of a standard M16A2 sight in target placed at 25 meters.  I then shot the best score ever without a scope on a Black Death Challenge rimfire target with beautiful three shot groups in the black on all ten squares.  I will post some pics of the rifle later tonight.

For my money, a 10/22 with Tech Sights is about the best AR15/M16/M4 trainer going.

My newly built M16A3 clone shot great also...

My take on the evolution stock:
It's a bitchen idea, but it needs some work.

For me (fat face/high cheekbones) the stock/cheek weld sucked.
It was bad with the tube and worse with an A1 stock.

The "receiver" that the 10/22 receiver slips into uses 6 (or 8 screws if you buy two extra) to hold the evolution upper to the lower.

They strip out very easy.

The holes in the "receiver" are not precision drilled, in fact there is a bit of "wiggle room" left.
This means that every time you demate the upper/lower "receiver" you will need to rezero your rifle.

The customer service of RB Precision can't be beat.
They offered (more than once) to fix/repair/replace any item that I had problems with, free of charge.

Things might have changed or what I mentioned might not be a deal breaker for you.

I think great customer service is a great thing.

I also think making something the right way so that you don't need to use great customer service is even better.

Not a dig on RB, but I an going to wait awhile for more feedback...

No complaints from me and outstanding CS.
You may have to do some very minor tweaking to get it to fit just right but it's very minor like drilling out a hole slightly larger and deeper in my case.

The Evolution stock is a great system. This has turned out to be one of my favorite guns for hunting small game like squirrel, rabbit and crows out to 50 yards. I can keep the stock completely collapsed, shoulder it fast, keep both eyes open with the red dot and hit the target. I find that it is a bit of work to disassemble for cleaning but my zero with the red-dot doesn't shift too badly. I added a carbon fiber barrel, extended magazine release and the auto bolt release. The extended mag release and auto bolt release are great for the cold Canadian winters when wearing gloves.

As far as the cheek weld goes I do find that I have to tilt the gun slightly to the left if I want to get completely behind the sight.

I have to agree that the people at RB Precision are great to deal with!
