I need help with my benjamin sheridan .20 cal air rifle....

When i open it to pump it, at the end of the bar that goes from the gun to the forearm, there is a pin that holds the 2 2gether at the pivot point.

When i go to close it after pumping, it catches on the side of the metal and won't close, i got it back in with some pliers, but after 2 shots, it came out again!
What do i do???? I know i can't just glue it there or it won't pivot, is there an easier way??!??!
