Where is the best (cheapest) place to get the wolf 22 long rifle. Also which variety of it do you like the most?

I get mine here.

For competition, (smallbore silhouette), I use the Match Extra. The Match Target is consistant with the Extra out to about 60 yards, in my rifle. Further than that, the Extra pays off. My experience seems to echo others opinions, as I've heard similar from many.

I never tried the Extra, but the Wolf MT is THE most accurate 22 ammo I have ever shot. Nothing else comes close in any of my 22 rifles. I get mine at the local shows, 26-28 bucks a brick.

Try some Eley Tenex Ulitimate EPS ammo.

No offense intended, but Wolf and Eley aren't in the same league, building, orbit, or any other metaphore...!

My friend's son goes through about 15,000 rounds of it a year(I know, I have watched him shoot it).....this stuff is the sh*t! Expensive, but worth every penny. He shoots International small bore rifle matches.....

Wolf would be a fine ammo for plinking, but not for any form of competition.

BTDT, Ive shot jus about ever kinda .22lr ammo out there. Ill stick with Wolf MT for benchrest bullseye comps.

Multiple National Smallbore wins....where everyone shoots Eley EPS, Lapua Midas, and RWS R50 as their premium ammo....never Wolf.

I have heard some good reports about the Wolf MT. Wolf has invested in new machinery, etc. They are rapidly trying to become a bigger player. They seem to be taking the lower (than normal) velocity route with this ammo. I have read of recent chronos measuring as low as 1000 FPS.

Eley has been hitting same POI out of my match smallbore rig now for 3 years, and that's 4 different batches I've shot from. That should tell you something.

Try that with Wolf at 50 yards, and you'll be moving that reticle.
