I got a Savage MK II-FV for Christmas! I am supposed to go shoot tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes. My wife is so good to me...she even bought a scope and bipod for it.

That's a nice looking rifle -- not a lot of wives are into doing something like that! I've seen the rifles at a local store and wondered how well they shoot -- try to post some info when you get a chance. What power and brand is the scope?

It's a Tasco 3-9x40...and the rifle shoots like a dream! I have to give my wife some "extra special" thanks for this one. 10 shots @ 35yrds.(indoor range)

yeah I love the shoot-n-see targets...another gift from my wife. Here's another pic of my target w/ a quarter for size comparison.

Nice set up... must be nice to live in house where you dont have to hear " I hate guns" all the time.

I just picked up the same rifle yesterday in 17 Mach 2. Where did your wife get the bipod?

Wal-Mart....It's the shooters ridge rocky mount standard bipod. $39.95ish...it works great. I took it out to Hobbs range today and punched several quarter-sized holes in some targets...good times. My dad took his 10/22 with heavy barrel...and I shot way better groups than he did...good choice on rifle.
