the video doesn't show a gatling gun, it just looks like a crank handle operating the trigger.

The description on their website says 'gatling gun'. If your really concerned about the term, you should take it up with the manufacturer. |

You often see the term "Gatling Gun" (incorrectly) applied to any crank operated gun.
In my pic above, the guns are fired with linked BMF Activators (cranks). The linkage is timed so that the guns fire alternately, giving a cyclic rate of around 1000RPM. Blasting cans and scrap ceramic tile with them is a hoot! |

It could be fun, I'd do it if the guns were beltfed. Using 25 or 50 round mags just wouldn't cut it.

If you crank it all at once, you get about a 3 second burst. Each turn of the crank fires 8 rounds (4 per gun). I tend to lock the elevation, then walk the rounds back and forth across the target zone.
I have given some thought to adapting Tipmann .22 belts to fire in the 10/22. A single crank, that stripped the rounds off the belt, fed the rounds into the chamber and worked the trigger should work. It would take a TON of machining, though. |

A local shop has one complete for $800. Interesting to see in person. An attention getter for sure.

I played with one made up of two M1 carbines once.......pretty interesting, but with two 15 round mags, it was over really quick. Now, that dual AK setup with a couple of drums would be VERY cool indeed...
