how hard is it to change the barrel and stock on a stock ruger 10/22?

is there a guide somewhere or a walk through?

i tried searching, but didnt find something

It's easy. The only thing that holds the barrel into the receiver is a little block with two allen-head screws. Remove the screws/block, and the barrel will slide right out of the receiver. You may need to tap it gentle to force it out.

unless you have one with the barrel band, then you would have to remove it along with the takedown screw then the v-block is all that is holding the barrel in by two allen head screws




you will have to take down the rifle though

Edit to add: It's the easiest thing. Even installing internal action parts on the 10/22 is easy and I'm not a mechanical person.
