I've been contemplating a .22 upper for my AR for awhile now. Do any of the makers have or will have high-cap mags for their upppers?

None that I know of. You can mod some mags to work with some uppers. Ask this question in the AR15 "Rimfire and Pistol Cal" section for a more complete answer. Scott
