Anyone have one of these? What are you're thoughts on this AR-15 wanabe? I have one and find it to be a pretty shitty rifle. Inacurate, the mag wears out so now it double feeds like thats its job. while cleaning it once my father somehow managed to break it at the front takedown pin, but the pin didn't break, the hole for the upper did! The only thing I like about this rifle, its fun as hell to rip off those 22 rounds in rapid fire, well, it was till the mag went to hell. It also got my sister interested in shooting and AR's so I guess that is something right. are these worth anything? I figure I am better off just keeping it but then I need a new mag. Where would I get one? Steve |
| Steve, try Numerich. There is a company called EMF, they imported AP74s years ago maybe they still have parts. I had an AP74 a long time ago, it liked CCI Stingers. Unfortunately it was stolen when my house was burglerized in the mid 80s. It was never recovered. |

Didn't recognize the gun, so went googling and found this. Lot's of good pics.... AP 74 Pics |
I got an actual set of Ap-74 CAR handguards from a member of the Rockin' Rimfire's forum, years ago. All the rest has been my own work. I tried all kinds of ideas to get a telescoping stock to work, but I ended up just modifying an ACE ARFX, which came out real nice. I've already cut the barrel down to 16", I now have to get it on a lathe and reprofile and rethread it, and I'm using a slip-over CAR FH. I'll post before & after pic's when I'm done. |

I've got one. It was an "A1" with round HG's and a birdcage FH, but its now becoming a CAR-15 commando.
