It's been 90 days now so I'm getting excited to get my new can. I've wasted the whole morning looking for a 1/2x28 TPI replacement threaded barrel that I can just "drop" in to my rifle. I'd rather buy a new barrel than have the stock barrel threaded. Does anyone know who stocks threaded replacement barrels? Thanks, Mark |
| That's kind of a bad idea. The only aftermarket threaded barrels I've seen are meant to attach compensators and such, and the odds of the thread being not aligned and screwing up your can are too high for me. Send the barrel to Gemtech or someone and spend the fifty bucks to get it threaded. A baffle strike on your brand new can will make you cry, trust me on this. |

I fully agree with QS. I've heard that in a lot of 10/22 barrels, the bore is not exactly true center. You need someone to turn the threads in a lathe, concentric to the bore, not the outside of the barrel. Who knows which method a particular seller of pre-threaded barrels used? That said, I sent my 77/22 barrel to SRT and had Doug cut my barrel down to 16.5" and thread it for a suppressor. I believe that it cost me $85, but he did it the right way. |

If you are interested TS. Inc will thread your barrel for you. Sammy |
