Fiddle with it, the 10/22 really is fun to do your own work on with drop-in parts.

Cheers,

Except for the extended mag release, I agree with AR_prof.  I have noticed that the extended mag release tends to catch on things and drop your mag.  When varmint/small game hunting, this occurs at the most inoppurtune times as I was trying to get a good rest, and has cost me my lunch!  To each his own, though.  Should be fine if you're just plinking.

Simply changing your hammer will make a world of difference.

I put a Power Custom Hammer in mine and it brought the trigger pull down from approx 8lbs to 2.8 lbs

Cheap Gun Parts

I personally feel the PC hammer is as good, or better, than the Volquartsen.

If you're crafty, you can polish parts and stone your hammer.  Again, if you're crafty.  This is not for any average joe to do, as you can create an unsafe rifle.  However, if you are confident then just start tinkering away!

modded my parts from rimfirecentral.com.  Lightened the trigger and polished/honed many parts. much smoother working gun.
