Looking for any thoughts out there on the best chance  of finding a 22 that might group 1 in. at 100 yds. I think Clark Guns  has some guarantee on this. What I am looking for is someone that might have some different brand that works. How much can you expect to pay for results like this? Thanks, I am new at this rimfire shooting.

High end Anschutz maybe?

Custom gun.

For 100 yards, you are better off going with a .17HMR caliber rifle.

The guys over HERE are the ones to check out for this stuff!

ANSCHÜTZ

You do not need to look any farther than that.

My Stevens 416 will easily hold 1" at 100yds. You can find them on Gunbroker & Auction Arms frequently. The US Property marked models are more desirable & will usually cost a bit more.

Amazingly enough, my Marlin 25N will hold 1moa at 100yds with a good scope if I do my job.

My Anschutz 22 will do this with good ammo.  Getting consistant sub moa groups is a lot of work, and easier with young eyes.

I had my rifle lited on EE, but had no takers.  I still have it, and it still shoots quite well.

i recently sold my anschutz 1813 target rifle. i bought it used for $1000, and over the years invested about another $1500 in it upgrading this and that on it. it would group 1" at 100 yards.

I have'nt seen a winchester 52 that would not shoot great and they can be had for less than an Anschutz.  The stocks are not adjustable like the Anschutz but off the bench they shoot very well.

CZ.  I have a 452 Varmint that will do it (provided I do my part).  Also look into the H&R M12's the CMP has again.  They are scary accurate.

Here is a second vote for the CZ 452.  It shoots the cheap stuff very well.

Thanks for the input. The last time I talked to my buddy, he had a CZ ordered, can't remember the exact model, I don't know too much about 22s.

to shoot a 1" group @ 100yd is not that hard

Now and then.  But to do it day in and day out is a bitch!   My club shoots a prone rimfire league (outdoors)
the 10 ring is 2" dia and the X is 1". We shoot a 40 Shot match. This is a prone match, not benchrest. One old Winchester (model 52?  ) with high dollar stock, barrel, trigger, and scope. One martini  (sp?) All the rest shoot Anshutz.Jackets, slings, mits, and of course High dollar ammo . Ammo and the wind are the weak links.
the best shooters shoot 400 about 85% when the wind is not bad.X counts run from the twentys up to the low 30's by the best with the best toys but it is a rare match when anyone gets to 34 or 35 X.Best I have seen In 5 years @ 15 maches a year with 8 to 12 shooters a night is a 400 36X. X's only break ties-a  score of 400-12X beats a 399 30X.  I struggle to hold a 397 average sigh

Depends on your obsession, hard to beat Anschutz. My CZ452 is great enough that I reached a 3 match rolling avg of 260+ in indoor 3 position matches with a 5.5lb rig. A guy on rimfirecentral.com sells springs/sleeves for very light/short pulls. Damned good for a few hundred bucks, but no Anschutz.

Your choice of ammo is going to make a big difference at 100 yards.

Winchester 52 should work just fine for that task.

One more vote for the CZ 452. The best price to accuracy ratio you can find.
