I bought a new 10/22 mag. a couple months ago. It functions perfectly and is a lot of fun but I'd like to improve the trigger. The rifle is going to be used just for casual target shooting and plinking. I see that several trigger kits are available. Should I purchase the Volquartzen 10/22 Magnum Action Kit or is there anything else available that is as good or better for my purpose and not as expensive? A Green Mountan ss fluted barrel and Hogue stock are already on order.

I'm going to say it again, and again, and again: drop-in parts SUCK. You can tack on every little doo-dad and you wind up with a 10/22 with a bunch of doo-dads. The fit is never really very good and the machining (or lack of it) just looks cheap.

I've gone that route and was very disappointed. The best improvement is to have your exisitng assemblies remachined by CPC. Randy can rework your whole rifle, or just the parts you can afford. You will NOT be disappointed. I've had Randy do four rifles for me and they'll outshoot any of the duded up 10/22s.
