Anything special to do with a set of new plates that came in the mail? Box was intact. They were bubble-wrapped and double-boxed. Don't see any damage.

First set of plates, just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Thanks !

Put em in your carrier and adjust to fit.

Thanks. Got my carrier today. Had a co worker tell me I needed to X-ray my plates before using them. Wasn't sure but sounded excessive.

X-Ray is cool if it's FREE

Even if it was cracked, which it is not likely to be, it's still going to stop multiple rifle rounds. Are you THAT concerned it might only stop 5 rounds instead of 6? Your plate was likely tested for multiple impacts of .308 and it was probably pretty cracked after that first .308 impact. Think about that as a reference point.

I was using that as an extreme of what others had suggested. I didn't come across anything in my online searches, beyond what you said: install in carrier, adjust for fit. That is why I asked, not that I thought I needed to get them X-rayed. I am not that concerned about it. They were shipped well.
