Anyone use one of these?  I carry my work laptop and accessories in an Emdom TNT Bag now and I want to start using something that's "backpack style" instead.  I tried the MSM Adapt Pack with an MSM Stealth Admin Pouch and while it was fucking cool as hell, it offered no padding and wasn't quite big enough for my 15" Dell.  The Condor is a smidge wider and has a dedicated laptop compartment and built-in organizational stuff so I'm thinking it would be a winner.

I'm not a Condor hater. That said, their packs, in my experience, are shit.

Any suggestions under $150?  I've been looking since before Christmas and everything I can find is either just a wee bit too small or waaaaaaaaaaaay too big.

If you like the MSM adapt, have a look at the Direct Action Dust. It's similar in profile but just a tad wider and with much better thought out organization, you can tell lots of thought went into this packs design.  For your laptop needs, the Dragon Egg or Ghost packs from the same company will carry your laptop with ease workout being overly huge. I can't say enough good things about these packs, I've put mine through hell across the US, UK, Norway, Germany, and France and it's my go-to pack for work. They all come in under budget and you can catch them on sale from time to time.

Initial loadout when I got it years ago, many things have changed since then but I originally selected this pack over the MSM ADAPT/ TT removable operator pack because it was juust a bit wider but enough to accept the ballistic panel you see in the pic  (black rectangle)

Condor is pure garbage.  Avoid them like the plague.  Chidura with Yellow river dyes for that extra special stitch and fabric failure.

Here's an example of Condor elastic shock cord with no use at all, these were on some shingles that just sat in a bag:
