Anything that can hold a rifle broken down, that doesn't broadcast tac-tard? No external molle please! The Grey Ghost Gear stealth operator pack looks kinda cool. |
Fake guitar case with molle and Velcro http://hazard4.com/products/bags/weapons/battle-axe ![]() |

This one looks good, top contender so far! |

The biggest downside I've seen to using any kind of instrument case is someone is as likely or more to steal it, of course if it's just for low profile it would be fine. |

Jansport, folding chair bag, toolbag, etc. If the goal is carrying discreetly, most garages or a Home Depot is loaded with options. I think MOLLE is a stupid flag in the general population, but to each their own. To the specific backpack reference for the OP, the GGG Stealth Bag is too small for anything except maybe a Kino. I did not find a LMT 10.5 worked due to the overall dimensions even when broken down. My first choice is Sneaky Bags - flawless work and they were doing this stuff years before 5.11 ripped them off. There are other potential GGG bags, various LBT options and a handful of others to consider made in the U.S. The U.S. made is a challenge - there are good options I've used - Kelty Redwing 4100, Vanquest 30Liter and Arc'teryx, but I believe they are all partially off-shored. I think Kelty has some Berry-approved U.S. options (Kelty just makes really solid, light-weight mid-line stuff). If wanting to go full U.S. and high-end quality, have you looked at Mystery Ranch? They're expensive due to Montana, but have U.S. options. I like the looks of their Tri-Zips, but never owned one. |

I've had my eye on this pack.
http://www.elitesurvival.com/concealment-bags-packs/stealth-covert-operations-rifle-backpack/ About Us page says: Elite Survival Systems is a US based company manufacturing premium quality tactical nylon equipment for military, law enforcement and the shooting enthusiast. Not sure if that means the company is US based but they outsource to another country though. YMMV. |
