I know point blank made the aav (amphibious assault vest) as a response to a bunch of force recon marines drowning due to them not being able to ditch their gear fast enough in the ocean after their chopper crashed in the late 90's. The vest was eventually replaced by the eagle ciras and mar-ciras. The camo patterns the aav's were known to have been produced were woodland, dcu,and solid coyote tan. I acquired a presumed point blank aav quick release vest at a surplus store a couple years back, but it's in army acu pattern. All the stitching, buckles, tags, material, webbing, even the camo color scheme seem to be real in all aspects when I compare my vest with other aav's. But there's not an ounce of info anywhere online or elsewhere regarding to point blank making an aav in acu. Any geardo's out there who could help me out on how rare it is or any info, I would greatly appreciate it.

| Must be a product prototype, or one off sample... note lack of contract #, etc.. It does look very similar to the Point Blank AAV. I have seen similar Point Blank made vests in Coyote Brown color, Black and Woodland camo listed on Ebay back in the day. As far as value, its not worth much because most people don't like the ACU pattern! If it has armor that is a plus but you are probably not going to get much more than a regular ACU OTV on this one. |

OTV is like a jacket, the front has a left and right part that overlaps. An OTV doesn't have cable in it to escape quickly like the IOTV or that thing.
It looks like a IOTV but it doesn't have the cummerbund system. I got no idea, but I have seen OTVs issued by point blank. |
