[ARCHIVED THREAD] - MC-CIRAS sizing

Can anybody give me some insight into sizing for the Land model of the CIRAS armor carrier?

I currently have a 46" chest, 6'3". I'm on the fence about whether I should get a large or a medium. I have heard that the CIRAS carriers run a bit larger, but I don't have any personal experience. A lot of users say a size large is mandatory if over 6'.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm 6 even/44 and wear a medium so I think you could go either way but I think a large would be better.

Our big guys are wearing larges and everyone else mediums.

By way of reference, I do wear a large in every other vest/carrier.

You need a large....I'm 6-2 and about 195 and run a large although a medium may have sufficed in my case

I would highly recommend the large, especially if you are planning to use large plates.
