Does anybody know if a issue/ compass will fit in an m67 grenade pouch?

Considering a M67 frag (3.53" tall with a 2.5" diameter) is bigger then a 3H compass folded (2.25in W x 3in L x 1.1in). Yes.

rather sloppily I might add.  consider placing a triangle bandage or similar item to take up some of the slack.

i believe the Eagle Industries RLCS, SFLCS, FSBE and MLCS style grenade pouches have a loose web strap and fastex on the front that would cinch down tighter over the compass vs the Molle II frag pouch which just has a brass snap

The nice thing about the issued frag pouch are it's issued and the webbing that secured the spoon is perfect to secure the compass lanyard to.

Practically every surplus store in the country has some OD ALICE compass/first aid pouches, and they can be had in desert tan and woodland.  Snag one for 50 cents, and secure it to your PALS surface with wire-ties, 550 cord, or the OEM ALICE clip, which will allow you to experiment with various positions before you replace the ALICE clip with a short MALICE clip.

Why waste money on an ill-fitting frag pouch, when the ideal item is available for cheap?

All that being said I store my GI compass in the little Velcro side pouch on the MOLLE canteen carrier I use to store NODs and bullshit in. Fits perfect.

Not that it has any relevance to your actual question.

I have picked up a few of the Eagle manufactured M67 frag pouches for around $4 bucks at my local surplus store.

I can fit my cell phone in there or easily put in a 4" Israeli battle dressing and a USGI compass.

They are very well made, and I have seen them locally and online in ACU and Coyote.
