So i have had this rig for a while now and still love it. Only gripe I really have is the shoulder straps could be a little farther apart. But if you wear something with a collar or a partial collar (think combat shirts) then it is a moot point to gripe about.

I have always ran 3 double mag pouches on the front but I think I wanna step outside my comfort zone here. I've got an idea stuck in my head and come hell or empty wallet will see this idea realized!
Inside my kangaroo pouch I am going to run the Mayflower triple mag insert. Then I decided I wanted to run 3 in my left cummerbund pocket with an additional triple mag insert. Upon doing so I found the 3rd magazine in the farthest back was directly under my arm and frankly was kind of a pain to get to. So I think I will only run 2 mags in the left cummerbund and stick another if the front of the right cbund. Right now I have a BOK on the left cbund as I am waiting for my custom ordered Flat IFAK from Raven Tactical Gear Which will ride on the lower back of my carrier. I am thinking of trying out a source 1L hydration pack above the IFAK on the back, real estate willing.

Here's what i'm working with as it sits. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

looks good. I recently did a similar thing.  I wanted to be able to run the APC with, and without an attached chest rig. Depending on my needs.
This meant that my swift clip buckles were kind of in my way with the factory 3 mag kangaroo.  I picked up the PIG single kangaroo mag pouches and I put two of them in the front kangaroo pouch and one of them in the cummerbund on my left side.  Then I put a BFG ten-speed triple pouch on the front of the APC, and a single ten-speed on the left cummerbund right on the outside of the other mag.  Makes for a total of 7 mags, or if you pull the mags out of the ten-speed pouches they lay flat and you've got 3.  Or if i put my Mayflower 5.56 hybrid chest rig on there and fill the kangaroo pouches too i'm back to 7.
Feel it gives me some versatility.  But I tell you what, I really like the way the APC feels with just those kangaroo pouches filled.

I like where your head's at.

I actually and going to drop my rig down to 4 mags. 3 in the front pouch, 1 in the left cbun.
I had recently rigged up my usmc chest rig panel that i picked up for $20 to a usmc camelbak for a light weight chest rig with hydration since I couldn't find any I really liked. This worked out PERFECTLY!
Then I was like... these "assault panels" for the mayflower are $125+
I did some more buckle moving and was able to perfectly mate the usmc chest rig panel to the clips on the myflower.
So all in all if I really fell I need a full 6 mags I can just clip this panel on. Best part is, even with my mags in the kangaroo and cbun I can still throw this panel on over that actually giving me 10 mags lol.
All I will need to do move the light, multi tool and TQ.
I will add some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I run a few less mags than you do.... my over all idea was to keep it light, low profile and maneuverable

I have two on my chest along with a blow out pouch. then i have two rifle mags and one pistol mag on my belt. and a dump pouch

I'm waiting on two more pistol tacos to keep another mag and a flashlight on the cummerbund  of the pc but other than that I won't be adding anything to it.

I keep my larger IFAK on my pack. I figure The blowout pouch has all the essentials I can use to get me back to my backpack if it's not on me.... I think mounting an IFAK on your back may make it a PITA to access in an emergency.

I like that set up you have. difference is I'm not runnin a war belt. Hasn't ever appealed to me. But then again i've never had a real need for one.
SLICK is how I want my carrier. Like I just posted a few min ago, I am dropping down to 4 mags. 3 in the kangaroo pouch and 1 in the left cbun, which will put my radio in the middle spot inside the cbun.
The ifak on the back is not a normal ifak. It's a flat style that is deployable from the left or right and is the whole width of the back panel.
I have not yet seen a set up the way I want mine to turn out, which is either awesome as I will be some what original and not band wagon or a disaster and no one has something like i want because the whole thing sucks... lol.

True story, while I was browsing the plate carrier thread looking for new idea I saw yours and placed my order for those retractable ear plugs and beard the fuck up patch.
Call me unoriginal.

I hear ya, as far as the belt goes, I didn't want a huge chunky warbelt but needed something to put my pistol on. The Emdom belt is a nice middle ground and it's cheap!....stiff and has velcro and slots for gear but not too bulky, as I'm not a real big guy I can't get away with those giant ones some people do. with some belt keepers it's actually really nice to wear and stays clear of my pc.

I wanted to keep mine completely slick at first but I didn't like using the K pouch on the mayflower for some reason and in all honesty the two tacos and blowout pouch are pretty low profile. I hardly notice them.

I'm interested to see how your set up turns out though.... mine may get moved around a bit as well the more I get to use it.

I'll call you a man with good taste  I think that's what's so great about this website and people posting up pictures of their gear... you get to see what other people have, good or bad,  that you may never have known about.

I know this is a Mayflower APC thread, but question on the Emdom.  Do the pouches have a lot of play in them when attached to the belt?  I mounted a g-code RTI wheel and didn't like the stress it put on the wheel attachment legs.  What other alternatives are there to mount my g-code holsters?

I tried the triple insert and noticed that PMAGS were not easy to either load or remove and they sat pretty deep in the insert.  So I bought a ATS triple mag pouch and same thing.  I am now turning to USGI mags instead since they just work no matter what you put them in (kind of killed my concept of wanting a low front profile).  I like the concept of the insert, its just not working with my mags.

I keep mine slick since I use it during deployments and only use it during incoming or elevated security posture.  I have a chest rig that I can attach for a carbine class or range day.

I think it would depend on what exactly your mounting and where but the Emdom does have slots built into in on the backside to keep gear from moving. The fronts are 2" spaces for holsters and such and then it goes down to 1" spaces for pouches and such.

heres a pic of the backside to show you what i mean.

I have my pistol holster and mag pouches mounted in the 2" spaces up front....the pistol mag pouch moves around a little side to side since it's only one malice clip wide in a 2" slot but only when I'm manipulating it. the m4 mag pouches don't move at all because they are two webbing slots wide and take up the 2" slots on the belt perfectly.

if your worried about things moving on your belt you can also use rubber tubing around the back side of the malice clip, SKD also sells something similar made out of cloth.

sorry for the thread jack OP

I just picked up a Mayflower APC as well, along with a D3 rig.  It's currently riding in my trunk for work.

I have a real hard time getting the thing on though.  There's no quick or easy way for sure.

the easiest way I've found is to Have the cummerbund completey unvelcroed from the front....grab front plate and lift pc up and over your head from behind or the side, allowing the rear plates weight to bring it down onto your shoulders.  If you still have ears after this your doing good cuz those damn shoulder pads will do their best to rip em off.

I had the same issues. First I removed my buckles so I had a clear top to draw the mags from. Still no joy.
Then I added mag pulls to them. Like removing the buckles, it helped a bit, but still no joy.
THEN I simply took the insert out and ran a few lines of stitching across the whole insert about 3/4" from the bottom as per my 7yr old little girls order and VIOLA!!!
They now ride perfectly.

Ditto on that advice, keep the front flap undone. Then just swim in. I am waiting on a set of MSAP shoulder pads from eagle to come in. They wrap around the shoulder strap completely and have a curve to them giving you more head space to slide in. Heard nothing but good things from friends that have them.

However I was also looking hard for some first spear deluxe shoulder pads. They had a BIG curve for the neck.

Thanks for the tips.  Last week after coming home from work I decided to practice a bit just to see how long it takes.  We switched to an outer vest carrier, and it changes how things fit.  I even thought of keeping the D3 off the APC, then putting it on after the APC was cinched up.  I'll continue to try things out.

Easiest way is to get the Ares Armor PC Silencers and use those.  Leave one side of the cummerbund velcroed up with the D3 buckled up.  The other side of the cummerbund with the silencers snaps first, then the D3.  Takes no time at all with an APC.  Works with my Mayflower Gen IV rig too.

Wow.  Thanks for the info.  I'll pick up one too.  That looks like it might be the way to go.

Quick question.... is one of these enough, or do I need two...one for each side?

One side note, when you get the silencers where you want them, duct tape the cinch ends  to the strap so the length doesn't slip.  Its the only issue I find with the silencers.  Other than that, they work great.

You can try the Eagle CIRAS or LBT6094 shoulder pads instead of the wider Mayflowers to reduce it rubbing the frick out of your neck.

Is it just me or is running mags on the Cbund really hard to get to?  Especially the farthest position back on the Cbund (if you are running 3 mags).  I use a Haley d3 chest rig attached to my APC with 5 mags on it.  I'd like to run another couple of mags on my Cbund and comms in the back position on the cbund.  Does that make sense to the hive?

Waste of space. Life threats only... At least they don't try to disillusion with actually getting "combat pill packs" in the contents.
