Would it be a good addition or is the room in my FAK better used with something else? Anyone have to use it before?

Buy some. Get combat gauze too
Celox does not create heat. Not for minor injuries like that walmart packet suggests

There's been a few times I wish I had some...

I'm going to quantify my contribution by saying that I'm a tactical and critical care paramedic. Been to lots of schools, instructor, Full time LEO, etc etc etc.

Celox is good, but there is better.

Latest testing shows QuickClot Gauze XL to be the best for stopping bleeding and with minimal re-bleeding. Celox gauze (NOT the Walmart stuff) Chitogauze and Quickclot gauze  are all runners up.

Since we are talking about hemostatics I hope we already squared away on tourniquets.

This study isn't a complete answer, but certainly is worth considering.

Here is the link to one of the most recent scientific studies that supports what I just rambled about.

quickclot gauze is the way to go (the new kind, not the old powder that would burn you) The mil has tested all of the clotting agents and Quickclot always wins.

I use the quickclot zfold combat gauze, i would have bought the civilian/LE version but mil version is actually cheaper, im guessing its all soliders who "forget" to turn in their medical gear and sell it on the internets.
