| Hey all, I am looking at buying a like new Crye JPC in multicam and was curious if anyone knew of a sure to way to tell if it is legit? I trust the guy since I've shot a competition with him but was just curious for this and future reference if I decide to be another. |

the real crye JPC uses coyote tan 498 hypalon for the shoulder straps. its the same heavy duty rubberized nylon used to make Zodiac inflatable boats. the fakes i have seen so far dont use hypalon due to the expense, but instead use either vinyl with cut edges or a tan nylon with the edges folded inside and topstitched along the edge. the airlite cbund uses strips of carbon fiber between the top and bottom horizontal webbings. post pics here or email/text me if u are not sure at the meet up.
